Gillz17,
What does “Way too much power” mean? In Canada, the gov’t doesn’t mediate our healthcare. I find my own doctor, make my own appts., pay for my own medication, report? nothing to anyone, and am free to go into any prompt care, emergency ward, or walk-in clinic if I can’t see my own doctor immediately. I wouldn’t even know how to get in touch with the gov’t regarding my healthcare. And no gov’t official has ever got in touch with me. How is that an infringement of my liberty?
Which is exactly one of the issues my mom brought up last night during our discussion about her evil Minnesota socialized health care (insidiously dubbed “Minnesota Care”). It is also the same thing I heard from our Canadian neighbor.
Remember kids, don’t be suckered by the ratings-hungry mainstream media. The sky is perfectly intact.
