Charsee pointed out an excellent op-ed up on the WSJ regarding the condemnation of Israel’s recent actions in self-defense. Excellent points are made about the legality, under International Law, of their actions vs. those of Hamas. The bottom line:
“Hamas is committing three war crimes — targeting Israeli civilians, using Palestinian civilians as human shields, and seeking the destruction of a member state of the United Nations.”
Americans are so ignorant of the facts regarding Hamas it’s astonishing. If you lived in an area of the US that had 2,000 rockets fired into it for over 2 years, at schools, homes and other civilian “targets,” you’d be crazy not to do everything possible to prevent it from continuing. Obama even indicated a similar sentiment when he visited there last July.
Another excellent opinion on the matter from an Israeli VC manager and frequent TechCrunch France contributor, was posted by Ouriel Ohayon titled Israel response might no be the best, but it’s the only one that makes sense.
